So this week I did the same exercise… mixed 3 songs to make a nummy nummy cocktail.  I think it turned out alright.  I played with fading a song in and slamming it into the mix.  I also played with slamming the fader in and out so you can get a wall of sound.  I think LMFAO was a bad choice in the end… the track had a synth sound that made the whole song sound like it was converted at a bad rate.
